In December 2010 The H.A.C.K. Horse Sanctuary was awarded a Youth Service Strategy Grant from AVOW in connection with Wrexham County Borough Council and the Welsh Assembly and was presented with such at the Glyndwr University, for the building of an education unit at the stable yard itself at Mill Lane, Bradley LL11 4DD.. This has now been completed and we had an official opening by Prof. Knottenbelt OBE from the Liverpool University Large Animal Hospital, Lesley Griffiths AM and Ian Lucas MP also attended as did many local councillors and representatives from AVOW and others.

During this grand opening The H.A.C.K. team also took a moment to remember Bill Crompton by planting a tree in his memory. Bill played an important part in helping HACK secure its present site at Mill Lane in 1995 and worked tirelessly in his support of the sanctuary but sadly Bill passed away a few years ago but he is fondly remembered by all.

This beautiful double skinned log cabin was built by retired furniture maker and now volunteer William ...."The man who loves wood" who had previously owned his own bespoke furniture business.  The Cabin boasts superiour double glazing, a suspended wooden floor and a wooden shingle roof, with a double door front entrance porch making easy access for wheel chair users and double doors to the rear leading onto a decked area overlooking the fields of the sanctuary.

This building was named after  the sanctuary's famous pony Buster "Super Star" who had worked tirelesly in educating children for many years.
